A contemporary low-energy home organised around views of a biodiverse landscape and a private pond, with Passivhaus principles at its core.
The site was chosen for its unusually rich natural setting and the opportunity to live beside a large pond. The architecture responds both to the landscape and to neighbouring Victorian buildings, combining familiar proportions with contemporary details.
Internally, the plan is arranged around long views to the gardens and water. Shared spaces remain open and light-filled, while private rooms can retreat from the more social parts of the house.
Enhanced insulation, airtightness and whole-house heat recovery support low-energy operation and consistent comfort through the year.
